We are excited to announce that David Glasser Foundation sports programs are starting in 2019.  We are partnering with Laveen Youth Sports, a non-profit organization which provides sports leagues, camps and tournaments to the children in the Laveen Elementary School District and surrounding areas.

All of the David Glasser Foundation sports programs will focus on fundamentals, sportsmanship, and positive character development. Primarily geared toward children ages 12 & under, the David Glasser Foundation sports leagues and tournaments will offer a variety of athletic opportunities in which students can participate in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

The first David Glasser Foundation Basketball League will begin February 2019 in Laveen. More than 180 kids will be playing a sport that David Glasser loved, with his logo on the uniform.  These kids will be coached on how to play basketball, but more importantly, they will be learning the critical life skills that David learned while playing sports. These skills will help get them started on the right path.

In February, the Inaugural David Glasser Foundation Flag Football Tournament will take place; several of the games including the championship game will be played on the football field at the David Glasser Athletic Complex in Laveen.

Police Officer volunteers will also be able to play various parts in the league which will give them an opportunity to have positive interactions with the kids and the families, fulfilling the mission of the David Glasser Foundation.
