It was a great day at our Sixth Annual Shop with a Cop event! 30 students selected from Cheatham Elementary School in Laveen went on a $250 shopping spree (each) with a uniformed police officer. They were able to purchase items for themselves, as well as gifts for their family members. This is the first year since Covid that we’ve been able to return to an in-person shopping event!
“It’s so nice to be back out in the community,” said Phoenix Police Officer Busch. “Seeing the kids get so excited to shop for their families makes this such a meaningful and rewarding experience.”
The David Glasser Foundation’s mission is to provide opportunities for law enforcement officers and the people they serve to connect and learn through community events and resources. Shop with a Cop has been one of the ways that the Foundation has been able to serve the community where Officer Glasser was killed in the line of duty in May 2016.
Fundraising, donations, a grant from Target Stores, and more than 75 amazing officer and civilian volunteers made this event possible. Thank you!!!
